Linework tool and yin yang on section views

hi there, 

i was wondering if anyone knows why my linework tool won't select certain lines in a plan view but i can select them in section view. 

in wireframe at the minute and i can select the two outside lines but cant select the hidden line which i'd like to show hidden line detail for (plumbing discipline so i cant get it show the hidden line of the steelwork any other way i dont think?) 

also is there a way to add a yin yang symbol on sections for pipe details;

or would this need to be a manual family created etc

also in some sections i can add linwork to the same bit of steel that i cant in others (is the scale a factor as to why i cant select things in different views) 

if there's an easier way to get hidden line on steel to show in plumbing discipline views that would be great to know.

For the yin yang part of your question you can set that in the pipe system type properties:

I don't use structural views but the help topic says:

yeah i aint using structural views either using plumbing but would like to see the hidden line on my steel without having to do line work lol 🙂 

looks like they don't show for some reason tho as mentioned hidden lines do no display. wonder why that is 😞
