I am trying to create a tag that I can use to mark the length of wire from device to device and device to panel. This is going to be used for electrical prefab so I needs to be able to be altered to represent going up and down the wall. I have been struggling on this for a couple days and cant seem to find the appropriate resource to fix my issues. any guidance would be appreciated or if these is an app that makes this possible as well, let me know.
If you are going to use it for pre-fab, i recommend you to stay away from wires for now. the main reason being is you cant schedule wires, you can not generate BOM out of it, defeats the purpose. you may get the lengths and tag it but that is how far you go.
i recommend creating your own spline/line family and create shared parameters.
