.txt file location

hi all,

I have created a revit family file and .txt file with different configurations in it. (Both names of family file and .txt file are same).and are stored in same folder. when I load the family file into project it works fine with table loading in it. but when I store the .txt file at different location and open family file in project it does not open the configuration . please let me know how this issue can be solved.

*** My requirement is to store all *txt file in particular location and family files at different location but when files are loaded into project it should work fine with configuration loading in it.***

I use revit 2016 version software

As your tests have confirmed, the file needs to be in the same location.

Sure, keep it anywhere you want but you will need a copy of it in the same location as the family. Until things change, you need to keep it in the same location with the same name as the family.

There isn't another option, yet.
