to flip all same families for same orientation

Hi all,

May I know how to flip the same families for only one same orientation.

Currently there are so many socket outlets combined with right orientation and wrong orientation.

I've selected all and mirrored these, then all the right orientation families are gone wrong and all wrong orientation families are became right. So how can I flip to one same orientation? To flip one by one is a nightmare to me.

In Autocad is so clear to add or reduce (-) negative value to the block's x,y value.

Thank you all.

Have a nice day.

That is not how Revit works. You possibly could select (multiple) elements with the same (wrong) orientation and use the spacebar to rotate them around the family origin. If the family contains controls the behaviour might change to flipping (mirroring) instead of rotating.

If you have to repeat this process a lot and for many instances a Dynamo script might help to automate this.

But even better would be to be aware of the right orientation when placing family instances in the project.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Hi Mr L.Maas,

Thanks for your reply. Actually I've tried with this way "multiple selected wrong families & space for right orientation", it was too hard for some big projects. But I seem that x, y values of families also have on Revit, since Revit software is much completed than Autocad. Anyway I'll see how for dynamo script before we redefine these wrong oriented families. Thank you so much.

Best regards,
