You need to update your Revit.ini file, instructions here: https://rippleengineeringsoftware.com/revit-heating-and-cooling-loads-in-revit-2022/

Am I interpreting this correctly that the entire feature was locked behind a disabled parameter in the ini file?

Now I'm curious what else might be disabled and bloating up the program file size.

Maybe Autodesk did not ignore the idea forum all those years. They implemented all the good ideas flawlessly. But due to a clerical error in the INI, those improvements don't show.....

Revit Version: R2026.4
Hardware: i9 14900K, 64GB, Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
Add-ins: ElumTools; Ripple-HVAC; ElectroBIM; Qbitec

The weather tab has also returned. Make sure you have at least 2022.1.3 installed (or any version of Revit 2023).  Add the following line to the Revit.ini file:

I wonder if Autodesk plans to retire the tool in the future and that is why it is left our of the Revit.ini file?

Hey Kevin!

please help me with this one bro...this solution didn't work for me...I did exactly as it is mentioned and yet I didn't get the "heating and cooling load" button. And also instead of "Revit.ini" I just have "Revit" named folder which has the same content as "Revit.ini" I guess.

It is in this folder (depending on version and your User name):

In Windows Explorer you might have to change a setting to see the filename extensions.

@Kevin.Lawson.PE solution definitely works, I've done it in multiple versions including 2024.

I typed a search for "how to show file extensions in Windows" into a search engine and came up with many hits - here's one:

You are showing your Revit version as just 2022.

@Kevin.Lawson.PE said that you need to have at least 2022.1.3. so you need to run an update.

It tells you in the text bar at the top of your screen as shown in the screenshot that I shared and, as with any software, you can go to the Help > About to get more details.

Your title bar just says 2022, mine says 2022.1 so I would immediately suggest that you have updates missing.

iainsavage_0-1699274713800.png

When you go to Help > About you'll see the exact version that you are using.

Sir first of all I am very grateful for your help and patience. Thank you sir.

Yes sir you are right. I have an older version, but I don't know how to update it to the required version. I tried downloading latest update from "Autodesk Access" app but it says that I should at least have 22.1 version. Where can I get that from?
