System Lines on Duct Fittings in Plan Views

Hello Everyone,

I've got a catalog of duct fittings that I utilize with an add-in we've created to create duct layouts.  We also utilize default Revit Duct Curves to represent straight duct.  Now, most of you are probably aware, when have duct risers on a plan view, you should see connectors covered with lines that indicate what system type the duct is associated with.  For example, in the attached screenshot, I've got some vertical duct with a blue "X" over it's end.  This indicates it's a supply system.

Does anyone know of a means to get the same effect to happen with duct fittings and not just straight duct curves?  For example, if you're looking at an elbow that's pointed up in plan view, you would see a similar marking on its end to indicate what system type it is.

Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no setting in Revit that shows the same rise and drop symbol on duct fittings as on ducts.

The only way you can get the same effect is to add lines to your Duct fitting family and connect them to an instance or type parameter depending how you want to change the type of symbols in your family.

In the example below you see the result of adding symbolic lines to the Duct Fitting family.
