System Inspector not showing up for duct

I am wondering if anyone knows if the reason the system inspector for a duct system is not showing up is because the air terminals are preventing it from being "closed". If so, is there a way to close them off without disconnecting? They really should be connected in case something moves.

No that won’t be the reason. Air terminals don’t count as open ends.

Check the directions of the connectors on the air terminals - In for supply, out for exhaust or return. Don’t use Bidirectional.

Check the system settings on the connectors and use Supply, Exhaust or Return, don’t use Global.

Check that flow configuration on terminals is Preset and not Calculated.

If it still doesn’t work, check that all branches are properly connected and check any duct accessories - some accessories are directional and may need to be flipped to correctly pass the flow through.

If there are open ends on ducts, cap them (you can have one open end on the main duct at the fan position). You can highlight open ends by activating the Show Disconnects tool on the ribbon.

If you’re still stuck upload the model for testing.

'Check duct Systems' on the analyse tab will also indicate whether there are any issues with the system. If you get the warning triangle when switched on there will be an issue.  Clicking on the warning may give you an idea of what needs doing to rectify.
