Sum value of mechanical properties associated to generic box with lines on faces

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to create a generic box that has mechanical properties associated to it. And then to connect multiple of these box and receive both  a sum and difference of the total of their properties, storing in a schedule that i can associate tags to. The box needs to be a void that I can draw on the faces of.

The goal is to place these boxes on my floor plans over fixture groups for kitchens and bathrooms. Then I want to draw the single line CAD version of these fixtures on the faces, and associate a value for both drainage fixture units and vent fixture units to this boxes. Connect these boxes on a section view, and hopefully have a pretty good riser diagram.

First, would this be possible? Can a box have these complex properties? Or am I making this too complicated?

Second, does revit have some built in capacity to assist in this? Any starting places?

Any advice you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Revit does have the capacity to calculate fixture units within the system based on the components that were placed. The trick is to make sure that the objects placed have the correct fixture unit applied.

Creating a all in one box that has the different layouts on each side could work, however you are breaking away from the functionality of the program at that point and would not have scheduling capabilities or other functions. Also, adding on to those systems in the future would become difficult.
