Strange Looking Insulation on Duct Fitting

When I go to insulate a duct elbow, the inside corner of the elbow gets this elongated spike coming out of it?? Anybody know how to fix this? I have these things in multiple locations and it's causing unnecessary clashes...

mine has always done that if its thicker than 1/2". i dont really know if there is way to fix it since its just how revit renders it, but if someone knows something i dont that would be fantastic.

Yeah we have 1-1/2" on this ductwork. It sucks because we're responsible for doing clash detection and I have interference all over the place... Duct vs steel, piping, lights, cable tray, you name it- this thing is causing an absurd amount of clashes... It would make my life so much easier if I didn't have to inspect each clash just to find it's one of these goofy spikes that would never be installed like that in the field

well there is a couple of ways around this, neither are simple unfortunately. you can convert to fab parts and make a 1 1/2" insulation spec in the MAJ database then apply that to your duct. or you could resize all the duct 1" bigger than its supposed to be and take the insulation down to 1/2", obviously if you are doing flow calculations that cant happens.
