show differentiating symbols based on sheet

There's an idea and i am not sure how to search for tips/suggestions on this.

Scenario - security cameras. The engineer wants to show the CAMERA symbol onto the security sheet but the MEDIA OUTLET symbol on the communications sheet (they are the same family).

i know in the model, we can create the family and adding a yes/no parameter to show the proper symbol.

I am wondering if there's a way to show the proper symbol without needing to adjust the yes/no. This way, when we have a batch plot, communications and security wouldn't need to be altered to properly reflect the symbols.

i'm not sure i am asking the right question.

It can be done by assigning unique sub-categories to the annotation symbols and using view templates.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Yes/No boxes are to control elements universally, not per view.  What I would do is nest a shared Communication family (with its communication symbol) in a Security family (with its security camera symbol).  For the security view template in project, turn off Communications category.  For the Communication view template in project, turn off Security category.
