Hello,

We are discovering network lag, and I discovered that we have 5 local versions of central models linked into our model. The local models are on our server, but they are not detached. The Central model for these local models does not exist in our network. So my question is this? If I open all of them, detach them, and discard the worksets and resave it. Will that produce any noticeable results to our model performance? Or should I do something else?

Thanks

That should help a lot, but not guaranteed.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

I would detach them though I am not sure if it helps.  But I would NOT discard worksets, you want to be able to close irrelevant links' worksets which actually improves performance.

Discarding the worksets is not recommended if you don't know what filters, viewing options are related to them.

What I propose is :

Detach 1 of them (The most recent one) with preserving the worksets, then save it as central model and use it to generate new locals.
