Shape Handle Location

Does anyone know how I might control the location of shape handles within families. Take a look at the attached image. That is a receptacle with an embedded symbol and embedded text. There are three shape handles. One controls the text vertically, one controls the text horizontally, and one controls the symbol horizontally. However, the shape handles are all on top of each other. The vertical one is easy enough to grab because it pokes out, but the two horizontal ones are right on top of each other, and you never know which one you're going to click. I had hoped that by naming the associated reference planes, it might display which shape handle was when on hover, but no such luck.

I'd really love it if I could specify their location.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I was able to work around it by adding another 'Adjustment' reference plane a few inches away from the shape handle reference plane and aligning my text to the 'Adjustment' reference plane. This moved the shape handle (horizontally only) without moving the text. The two horizontal shape handles are no longer on top of each other.

If anyone has a better way, or a way to move it vertically, please let me know!
