Selecting generic models

I've got a program that creates duct tags as a generic model. Lot's of them. I want to delete a lot of them but can't cross select a group of them, I have to click on them one at a time. But if I ctrl/select a few of them and paste into a new model I can cross select all of them. Is there a box checked or unchecked in one model the difference or is the act of copying and pasting them changing something? I can't do a select all in the original model either but can in the new one.

Change your view discipline to coordination or architectural.

Generic models are underlay items in MEP views.

PyRevit and DiRoots also have apps which have enhanced filtering capabilities to simplify finding categories, families etc.

I am working on my second floor but my 1st floor is showing up. I have my Underlay set to none but it still won't go away. I can't flush my walls becuase it gives a warning sign.

Different topic altogether but sounds like you need to edit your view range (VR).
