Schedule conduits based on current view

Is it possible to schedule conduits that are shown in the current view?  Let's say I set my view range between 10'-20', and so the view shows only conduits that are in that view range, can I create a schedule based on what's shown?  Thanks.

What you can do is to select the elements and add a value to an instance parameter to all of them at once, and then create a schedule that filters out anything that doesn't have any value for that parameter.

Hi @Anonymous  ,

I don't know if there's an ability to do it or not , but you can use "Filter" in schedules dialogue to filter any kind of instance with any parameters associated you want . e.g. you can do it here in this issue by giving these conduits a value in "mark" parameter [ you can accept the duplicate warning as they all would be the same mark or give them an order you know it ] and then schedule for conduit using "filter" for mark value and you will find only your desired conduits and so on .
regards !

Ok that's it 🙂 . If you find this helpful , kindly like and accept as solution

Not automatically, you'll have to use the filters, as mentioned above.

What if a conduit spans more than one views?

Yes its possible, the easiest way is to set a value to a parameter. Lets say you added a instance parameter for conduits "ViewParameter". You then will need to select all the conduits in the view then assign a value to ViewParameter(example. View 1). In your schedule you need to add ViewParameter in the Schedule Fields. Now you can use ViewParameter as your filter and filter it with the given value View 1

Thank  you, everyone - for the different responses.

I just discovered that I can simply change the conduit type from RNC (Rigid Non Metalic) or RMC (Rigid Metal Conduit) to EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing) for above ground conduits.  Having changed all the ones above ground to that, I can then schedule out all the straight segments without much hindrance.  But if I didn't do it this way, I would have gone the route that you all suggested. Thanks again! 🙂
