SAT file export units

We frequently export SAT files for our steel manufacturer, and recently we've been getting feed back that our exported SAT files are not scaled correctly. So far as I can tell, there's no control over SAT export units, so I'm not sure there's anything we can do about this in Revit. Not sure if an update changed the default export setting, or if something changed in how Solidworks imports SAT files.

Has anyone else had experience with this?

Skyler,

Are you exporting from Revit to SAT (ACIS)? I (think) the Modify the DWG/DXF Export Setup will allow you to change the units for SAT files. On the Units & Coordinates DWG tab change the units to the appropriate unit.

Are the units off a specific scale?

One DWG unit is For imperial projects, the default unit is inches. For metric projects, the default unit is millimeter. This sets the default unit for the exported DWG/DXF file.

Solidworks defaults to Milimeters see the attached image and link for more information.

Some research on the Solidworks Help?
https://help.solidworks.com/2024/english/SolidWorks/sldworks/c_acis_files.htm

I hope this helps. Try it out and let me know.
