Out of the box families and fittings. Single Duct VAV, rectangular diffuser.

VAV connector set to Calculated Out, Preset In (standard configuration), Diffuser set to Preset In.

  • System Inspector seems to now care whether or not a connector branch is set to 0 flow in terms of flow arrow display. Does not appear to change any calculation functionality, but this behavior was not present in prior versions of Revit (flow arrows would consistently point based on connector directions regardless of flow quantity). Seems relatively harmless.
  • When a capped trunkline is drawn, Connect Into // Extend generates fittings that point towards the cap rather than the upstream mechanical equipment with Out connector. This part is a bit more annoying, since you now have to manually reverse the taps, standardize on bellmouths, or draft the end-of-line air terminal connection to main first, backfill the rest of the air terminals, then correct the end connection to a capped trunk.

This appears to be unique to 2024 version (I don't have 2025 installed yet).

Intended behavior?
