Revit Project Replaces Parts

Hey I was hoping someone would be able to help me. I have created apart and set the family type and part type to a pipe fitting - Transition, however, once I place the part into a project and attach pipes to it the part is replaced with one of revits own Solder parts. I have tried changing the family type of the part to stop this from happing however this would make the part technically inaccurate.  I have attached a video to better explain this. If anyone has any answers for this it would be very helpful.

Kind Regards

Hi @Anonymous - have you set the transition you wish to you use on the Pipe Type?  E.g., select the pipe you are placing, click Edit Type in the properties palette, click Edit next to Routing Preferences, scroll down to Transition, and select your family.
