REVIT prints large colored patches when I print to a .pdf.

My layout looks normal.

My .pdf and the print review in REVIT look like this.

Does anyone has an idea what this is?

Is it a line weight issue?  Have you tried printing with another PDF virtual printer?  If you're able to post a small sample project we can perhaps eliminate guess work.

I agree with the previous post.

In your first screenshot, the "thin lines" option may be turned on, so you aren't seeing the lines the way they are going to print.  Search for "thin lines" and turn it off.

The blobs look centered around your vertical offsets.

Do you have rise/drops, pipe fittings, or something related set to Line Weight 16? I would check all of your V/G and Object Style settings. I would also check that the line weight settings haven't been altered significantly from the out of the box settings.

Thanks for all the answers. It turned out that some pipe nipples caused the issue but others from the same family were just printing fine. I replaced the ones who caused the issues.
