Revit Mechanical Templete

I have a Architecture project linked to this Mechanical template project.

two things.

1. trying to hide "Roof" element, by selecting the roof. Entire drawing is selected like one big element. and a box appears.

2. would like to 3D view my plumbing, but unable to.

1. Hover over the roof and hit Tab. Or hide the roofs via visibility and graphics. 

2. Create a plumbing plan, at the very top of the screen, is a 3d house. hit that.

I just know there to do plumbing in 3D view.
