Revit links

I am trying to insert a Revit link but the button is grayed out. There are no links in my model. I have run an audit and purge but it hasn't helped. I am able to insert a CAD or DWF file, just not Revit. Thank you

Make sure that your current view is a Plan View, Section View, or an Elevation View. It will behave as you described if your active view is a Sheet View or Drafting View.

Thank you. I was so concerned with the issue that I didn't realize where i was.
