Revit ID/architecture model Lighting fixtures in Revit MEP coordination model

There has been an issue with the MEP department when updating the linked Revit model of the ID team. Interference check detects moved lighting fixtures and deleted ones maybe, but never detects newly placed lighting fixtures.

Is there a way to be able to do that?

I'm pretty sure that you are not referring to interference check but rather coordination monitor which does not look for new elements. You need to add new elements with copy/monitor.
