Revit - Circuit number parameter use without distribution board.

Hello,

 I am a lighting specialist.

I am struggling with 'count' parameter not being correct on the schedule.

For example, I make a circuit with 5 no. light fittings. Then I want the correct number to appear on the schedule sorting all row by circuit reference. 

 In theory, I know how to do this by connecting circuit to a control panel and give a circuit name however, I don't want to show any distribution board which is the electrical contractor's scope and way too complicated.

 Does anyone know easier way to do this?

If I understand correctly you want to count the number of lighting fixtures on an electrical circuit, but you don't want to create electrical circuits, because that is the scope of the electrical contractor?

This proves to be somewhat of a difficulty, seeing as both you and the electrical contractor will be doing the same work twice. But it can be done. What you will need is a custom shared parameter and a custom tag to read out that shared parameter.

You can fill in that custom shared parameter, schedule it, etc. But it won't be connected to an electrical panel.

It will just be a parameter containing data. When you're done with your scope, the electrical contractor can follow your data and create electrical circuits and add your lighting fixtures to the circuits.
