I had a schema issue and Autodesk support was able to restore the file (delete the schemas causing issues) almost entirely (I had to re-place some fittings that had those schemas). May take a day forth and back and obviously no guarantee they can help you.
But they also said mixing versions (like opening a 2024.1 file in 2024.0) can cause problems. So, just re-installing and not installing ".1" also is not a panacea and is a risk in itself.
Rumor has it early September there will be an update. My plan till then is, to open a second instance of Revit, and open the file I just saved to see if it works. this is a bit slow when saving every 15 minutes. but makes sure i only lose a bit of work if it happens again. (TBH, I don't do it at every "save" command)
