Revit 2024 Buffering

Hi All,

I am looking for some help.

My Revit 2024 model keeps lagging/buffering when i switch to a new view, click on a new family.
It has slowed my work down and making drawings 2 times slower.
All updates are latest on Revit 2024 and Laptop.

Any ideas what i can do to try and figure out the cause.

First thing to check is that your laptop is up to the task and has at least the recommended (or higher) amount of RAM.

The other thing to check, if you have pipe or duct systems in the model, is what the system calculation configurations are set to. Setting the calculations to Performance or None can help to speed up the modelling process and then you can change them back to All when it comes time to run the calcs.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-mep-forum/calc-setting-options-difference-none-and-performance/...

There may be other reasons too but those would be the initial steps that I would look at.

I'm curious;  does anyone know if changing the calculation settings to "performance" needs to be done on ALL pipe systems in a model? Or just the ones in use, in order to possibly see an improvement in model performance?

Specs? Temperatures? Model size and complexity? Latest updates installed? Add-ins?

Based on the information provided, Get a decent desktop.

Hello,

If you don't need them, it is better to have all of them set to performance. This is the standard setting on my templates.
