Revit 2020-2022 not hideing Arch walls below Duct

Anyone found a solution to hiding the walls below Duct? in CAD i would create a hidden layer that would hide the walls as my duct would pass through the wall and it would also hide out the RCP thats directly below the duct this has been a standard to my drawings for a long time. when i switched to Revit i found that Revit does not do that not even on hidden line. now i did find a way to make the RCP hide out below the duct and that remedy was to export the RCP out as a dwg and import it back into my revit model and that fixed that problem. do i also need to do this to the arch floor plan or is there another way to accomplish what im looking for. see the picture of 1 of my drawings for an example of the exported rcp hideing out and the wallls that are not.

My apologies i forgot to say that the duct I model with is with the MEP Fabrication add in & not the standard Revit duct. The top picture is with the standard Revit duct with the discipline set to coordination & modeled in hidden line. The bottom picture is with the MEP Fab duct with the discipline set to coordination & modeled in hidden line. Is there a way to get the MEP Fab duct to hide out the walls like the Revit duct does?

Fabrication components can hide walls below the same way a Revit duct does (see pic below: left is duct, right is fab).  Check VG > MEP fabrication categories for transparency overrides.

i think we are on the right track. so i have no transparency overrides on the mep duct. so what i did was draw 4 new walls and placed some mep duct over it and it did hide the walls out like you said it would. But this hasn't fixed the issue with the walls that's currently in my provided Revit model. What I'm thinking is the reason my walls are not hiding out has something to do with the Arch Revit model that was provided to me for my job. What's your theory on why the provided Arch Revit model isn't hiding behind the mep duct my and new walls i draw will hide out behind the mep duct?

thank you very much for your help on finding out a solution. i did run into another issue though. with my discipline set to coordination it does hide out the walls below the duct but it also hides out the duct liner. if i have my discipline set to mechanical it shows the wall through the duct which is no good but shows me the liner which i like. my end goal is to have the walls hide out below the duct while still seeing the liner inside the duct. any thoughts?

Yes this a tough one like picking one of the two poisons. Here is a workaround but it is quite involved:

- keep you view as Mechanical discipline to show the duct/insulation how you like them, turn off Arch Link

- duplicate the view and change it to Coordination, turn on Arch Link

- place the Coordination view on sheet 1st, then place the Mechanical view on top
