Hello everyone.

I was trying to do a Plenum for a practice house I was drawing and I want the space to adapt to the roof shape. ¿any idea?

I attached two images to show you what I am expecting Vs. what I am getting.

Any suggestion is welcome. ¡Thanks!

Hello,

In the second pic. If this is what you get it is logical because the space is bounded by the roof as it should be .

If my answer helps , please kudo and accept as a solution.

Thanks

Open Room Area options from the ribbon and check Calculate Volume.

Hello!

Well, I am not getting what's on the second picture. I modified the first picture to show what's my expectation, but reality is what's really happening. I even have the room bounding option on and it is not working.

Thanks.

Hello

When I try this, the space that I'm trying to bound disappears. ¿any idea why? My workflow was like this:

Hello,

I tried to run some more experiments, and expanded the volume above and below the limits. I changed the limit from a roof to a ceiling (more simple form) and tried to bound the space between both ceilings. The space disappears from the area I want to bound, but is show below that area, as shown below:

Obviously, warnings shows about the spaces being overlapped and such, but the issue is that the volume above is not bounded. Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

Exactly that's the option I have set in picture 2 of the last reply, and when I set it, the space disappears from the lower ceiling and above. My doubt is why is disappears above the lower ceiling, and it's gone below it.

Thanks.

Do you want the space as marked below?  Can you share your test file?

Hello,

Sure and thanks for all your patience. I suppose you mean the .rvt file, which I believe is enough. If you need something else just let me know.

And yes, that's exactly what I want: that plenum space bounded between those ceiling.

I had to add a level @ top of ceiling and create the space from that level's view.  I am uploading a screencast.
