Rendering using Pipe System Material

Morning All,

This links back to a previous query I had (which remains unresolved) but I've now got a bit more detail.

When I render within Revit, the pipes, accessories and fittings take on the materials associates with the pipe system. Is there a way to tell Revit, "when rendering, use the materials associated with the family, not with the pipe system".

In the attached image you can see how the pump (bottom left), which should be red, has been rendered as silver to match the pipe system.

Cheers

Euan

You forgot the link to the previous thread. It would be beneficial to know what has been suggested. Ideally, you should have just resurrected the other and added the new information.

I don't think this can be done. Personally, I avoid system graphic overrides and use V/G Overrides and filters.

Sorry. Here is the previous thread.

There doesn't seem to be an option to remove the system graphics override for pipe systems?

The reason the other thread wasn't resolved is because you failed to provide enough accurate information.

Good luck.

Hello,

My suggestion is not to use Material override in the Piping Systems.

For the views you need it, you can create a filter for exemple.
