Reference line visibility

Good morning,

One question is with me know for i while and I wonder if there is someone that can answer it.

If I use a Reference Line (RL) to create a MEP or any family, I always or actually never get to select the planes of the RL. Not the ends or any other. (See #1 on the attached image).

  • How do I select that plains
  • Is it possible to make it visible?

Thanks

Jan

I have never fully understood that myself 😁. They are not selectable in the family. My understanding is they can be used when the family is loaded into the project.

See the "Reference Line Behavior in the Project" section of this post.

@jappelgryn- those planes are very useful if you'd like for example.. to place a hosted-nested geometry on a desired plane from the refline. You can select them by using.. set-plane & TAB (keyboard).

Hello,

In the family editor, select the reference plane, and you can select its behavior by changing its IS REFERENCE property.

If you set Not a Reference, you can´t select it in the project environment.

Any other setting will allow you to use it for alignment, for example.
