Pipe angle changed when i replaced fitting

HI Guys,

I am trying to replace a 1/4 bend with a combination Wye and 1/8 bend (combo).  this is typical for inserting a combo in a pipe run.  but for some reason, using AB&I family, the pipe perpendicular to the run get shifted.  i was wondering if there is an easy fix for that, that i may be able to do to the family itself, or to some other Revit setting.

please see image.

thanks

Hello,

It seems that the problem is the junction origin point, to get it to work, the family origin, must be the intersection of the pipes prolongation, not the junction connection point.

Hi @fabiosato

thanks for the suggestion, i was thinking it has to do with a family center of rotation... but i am too far off in knowing how to address it.

So with my little knowledge here i found out where the origin is ( please see attached).

so are you saying that i need to make the vertical line going thru the center to be the origin?

do you have a link that discusses this well, that i can take a look at?

thanks

@fabiosato

i tested it with where i think the family origin should be and it worked, but i had another problem so i started another post for that.
