Phase Graphic Overrides

I am having a problem with the phasing graphic overrides. I can set them to my preference just fine. However, whenever I update the linked architectural model, the graphic overrides reset to the architect's settings. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Are you using "By Linked View" in the RVT Link Display Settings in any of your views/view templates?

See the photo below.  The phase mapping is just the basic existing and new construction.

Expand these trees and see if the actual link instances are by Host view.

How do you update the Architectural link:

1. Remove and insert the the linked file again,
2. Reload (or Reload From...)?

If the first method is used - that one can cause the problem. If so use another one.

By "reload from" do you mean to link to a new architectural model, saved in a new folder?  What we are currently doing when we get a model update is to download it and save over the old linked model.  Of course everyone working on the project closes their local file while this is done.

It looks like you don't use the first method. Deletion on a linked model resets all overrides associated with it. If you don't delete the linked architectural model then your settings should not change.

Can you open the architectural file and see what are the Phase Override settings there? Do they look similar to the problem you see in your view?
