Panelboard Schedule

Panelboard Schedule

I am working on an Electrical Dwgs, the issue is i located the panelboard on the floor plan, created the circuit for the lighting and receptacles and also created the Panelboard schedule. My problem when i relocated the panelboard to a new location there is a message error "warning-Element will be deleted" and the panelschedule is also deleted.

Did someone encounter this issue and if they help me.

Thanks

How did you move the panel board - did you change its host to another wall, in another view?

when a panel is removed from the project, the schedule is also removed. But the items remain circuited together, even if they are not associated with a panel. If you have to delete a panel, all you have to do is select a device that's on a circuit with other items, and assign it to the new panel. You use the panel schedule to rearrange the circuiting.

Make sure the correct distribution system is assigned as well - Revit won't let you connected 480/3 items to a 120/1 panel...

thanks - db

Hi db,

I appreaciate your attention to my question. To clarify my questions I am relocating the panelboard to a different wall (still wall mounted)

Thanks

As long as you move the panel by using the Pick New Host tool, it should not lose its circuiting. Normally you can do this by having the two floor plans side by side. Select the panel you want to move, and then look at the Modify | Electrical Equipment tab, Work Plane panel, and click Pick New. Select the new wall, and then locate the panel.

Let me know if this works for you - there's a lot more that can get hosed up when you do this, so make sure you can pick a new host first.

thanks - db
