Panel Name Size Change

I have a Disconnect which has a "Panel Name" annotation that is too small, but it lets me only change the depth of the name. I tried to add a parameter for length and hight, but it doesn't appear in the parameter list.

You need to edit the model text type

Many thanks for your reply.

Did you see my attached file? Unfortunately, the only parameter in there is text depth. I tried to add another parameter, but it does not allow adding parameters, only changing them.  And when I change the numbers in that field, as you advised, the text depth changes, even when I change that parameter to Text Size.

Yes I saw your file.

If you select the text the only Instance parameter is the text depth. If however, as I showed in my image, you select Edit Type then there is a Type parameter for the text size.

With edit type, is only the parameter "DEPTH" available. I tried to use "Edit Family" to add additional parameters, such as WIDTH, and LENGTH because those are needed to increase the size of the "NAME," but "Edit Family" doesn't allow me to add parameters for this device!

Hi boss!

Click on the MODEL TEXT and check in the properties there is a option EDIT TYPE, click on that you can change the font type and the font size of your MODEL TEXT.

You can add parameter for changing the DEPTH of the MODEL TEXT if needed..

Please check the attached image to have clear idea..

Many thanks for the help. One has to set the "MAIN RATING" first.

Then in EDIT FAMILY, open Ref. Level and open the Family Type.

In "OTHER," go to Panel Text Hight (default) and check that the 'if" function includes a setting for the "Main Rating" set for the Panel. One can include any rating amperage in that condition setting

i.e.                if(MainRating < 60 A, 0' 0 1/2", if(MainRating < 200 A, 0' 2", 0' 1"), if (MainRating >200 A, 0' 3", 0' 2")))

Thanks again for the lead to that solution.

Have a great day

The solution that you marked is exactly the same as I told you twice and @fabiosato told you.

You didn't explain that your text size was being driven by a formula in your family.

If you’d provided more information or uploaded the family you would have got an answer much quicker.
