No way to turn off auto-connect for conduits

I can turn this off when I first draw a conduit, but anytime I stretch or move a conduit , there isn't any way to turn this off.

Hello @sragan,

That is correct what you are experiencing.

use the 'Draw Conduit' function from the end of the Conduit instead of streching the Conduit.

Then You will see that the conduit will not connect if you have turned it off.

It would be nice if Autodesk would add the option to turn off the autoconnect feature when modifying conduits.

I'm sure this same problem also exists for ducts and pipes, although I never draw those items.

If you copy paste a previous conduit and after rotate it as you need, it doesn't create the connection

Make "None" at cross in Type properties of conduits and it wont come. Use fitting at cross whenever needed.

This is not a solution, it is a 'go around' fix. One wish not to go in every system family and modify the 'Cross' parameter. Revit, as suggested, should have made this  available to be set off or on per user. It is true though that it can be toggled, once the user is within the 'Draw Conduit' command ( shortcut "AC").  Unfortunately it will reverse to the default "connect' in a new Revit session. For MEP Electrical this 'connect' is basically NEVER necessary, on the contrary intensively counter productive. Cable tray may be an exception but even in that case the default 'connect' acts while elements are crossing at... different elevations and  connect conduit to cable trays while they are crossing above or under them...

For 15 years or so Revit Electrical MEP carries the burden of unnecessary mechanical systems design.

True. There is still long way to go for Revit MEP Electrical.
