To whom it may concern,

I am not sure why metric generic model has not been existed after installation of Revit 2023. It is very gratitute if someone can advise solution.  Actually I reinstalled Revit 2023 library content again and again, downloaded from Autodesk server, but the issue is not yet solved.

If you have the library content in an earlier version, it might be easier to copy that into your 2023 library content.

In year 2002, I had installed 2022 free version by means of a role of student from the institute that can certify their students who can have free usage for one year, necessarily downloaded from Autodesk server.  I am not sure what reason the usage empowerment was expired just after half year, I paid to upgrade it to 2023 grudgely.  Would someone else who can kindly advise where I can download Metric Generic Model, appropriate for 2023 version, merely request content.

I had downloaded and installed it in existing Revit 2023, but it is resulted in nothing to have the relevant files, no matter how I seeked all folders as long as it is related to Metric Generic XXX.

I'm not sure what you mean by metric generic model - do you mean the templates?

After you download and install the content pack you should have this folder:

iainsavage_0-1692268162512.png

There are then additional templates for each country/region e.g.

Wonder the RVT2023 folder is empty. I wonder like to know what reason rte.file is not yet existed after re-stallation of Content 2023.  I would like to downgrade the version to 2022, but afraid of possibility of losing other softwares being linked to Revit.  Would you please kindly sort some rte.files (mainly metric generic model) and zip up to be sent to me via e.mail address as 3260525644@qq.com? Many tasks are queuing to draft out the layout drawing in time, no time to investigate the reason and solve the problem.  It is very gratitude if you do me this favor.  Thank you very much.

I've no idea why your folder is empty. It sounds like your installation has not worked properly so you should maybe try again?

Downgrading to 2022 is okay as long as your files are 2022 or older but you will NOT be able to open any files which are version 2023 or higher.

Alternatively, as was already suggested, you could in version 2023 open the template from your 2022 folder - its probably exactly the same template since they generally don't change from version to version, they just re-package them.

Hello,

Just be aware that RTE are project file templates, family templates are .RFT

Dear fabiosato,

Thank you for your suggestion. Basically I would like to enable the family to move full orientation, wherever I would like to move along X,Y,Z axis and orthogonal direction. Can metric generic model transform to free metric generic model?  Thanks.

So you weren't talking about project templates, you were talking about family templates?

You should have said so when I asked earlier.

The family templates should be in this folder:

iainsavage_1-1693328785934.png

Pick the relevant country/region sub-folder.

Again, if you can't find the 2023 version then you can use the 2022 version which you had installed previously (in folder C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2022\Family Templates\).

This template below is non-hosted if that is what you are now asking:

Hello,

Metric Generic Model, is a template, depending on the family category, the level of freedom of movement of the final family may vary.

Hi, fabiosato,

Thank you for your suggestion. I come back to school and enquired Revit tutor, who agrees with metric generic model that convert the family into all round move. However, he advised to build new family by using generic model innerly. I tried clipboard copy and paste, but resulting in failure. Would you please kindly instruct how I can utilize in copy & paste function to get it done? Thank you.

You are now asking questions which don't match the topic of this post and it would be better if you had started a new post with an appropriate title.

That said, see this link below - is that what you are needing?

Estou tendo o mesmo problema e não consigo encontrar uma solução eficaz! Preciso do Modelo Métrico Genérico.

I'm having the same problem and I can't find an effective solution! I need the Metric Generic Model. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Revit 2024 Brazilian Portuguese, in addition to uninstalling and reinstalling the Revit LT 2024 Content Packs, Brazilian Portuguese Content for Revit LT 2024, Brazilian Portuguese Family Libraries.

Why LT content packs?

Is it Revit LT that you are using?

I don't know if I have the full Portuguese library for 2024, this is the complete list on my laptop:

You can download the 2023 version though which you can use. The templates don't really change from year to year so older versions can be upgraded.
