Metal tripod family

I have spent a lot of time at this today without much success. It'a a metal tripod assembly that we use in various sizes and it would be useful to have a parametric family available.

What would be a good approach to creating this? I would like the angle, height and tube diameter to be adjustable).

(Note - I have shown just one of the 2 legs)

Do you want a 2D detail or 3D model family?

I would first create a family for the tube. In this family you can control height, diameter and angle of the tube. In their you should also look at the cutoffs for both ends of the tube (if needed)

You can then nest this family in a host family, place multiple instances and then control the positioning.

Here you can also model other parts of the assembly

hi @tmccar

Had a few minutes to help with it. It's attached. The second leg can be created easily in the same rfa without any additional nested which will increase file-size.

Fully parametric as required. Hope it helps.

Thank you for that. Unfortunately, I need the 3 legs to be in a tripod format and sitting between 2 circular discs.
