MEP export to autocad

Hi

I hope someone can help.  We have a client that will have their As-built ventilation drawings delivered as Autocad drawing. We have drawn the project in Revit 2015. Internally we have different colours and line weight assigned to the various categories of ventilation ducts, and we need to correspond our line, types, colour etc with very specific layers in Autocad. I  have exported the required views to autocad with a various export set up standards, however the ventilation ducts alway come over to dwg as one layer, making it impossible to isolate return air from in take air etc. Therefore I can not change thje various duct system types to indiviadual layers in Autocad. ANy suggestions?

Try creating 3d views of each system separately only (use filter and visibility/graphics dialog box).  Then, export just that content to AutoCAD one at at time.  This will help you see the AutoCAD file with only 1 system at a time...then change the layers accordingly....

Merge each 3D AutoCAD file generated for each system.
