mechanical schedules - header and footer

I wish there is a footer for Remarks in the schedules the same as there is a header. We are now doing two separate schedules - one for the equipment and one for schedule key for Remarks.

I can't think of a way besides making 2 schedules (Equipment and Key) ☹️. You can have them separate or put them up against each other, so it looks like one schedule.  Revit schedules are category based by element so mixing 2 schedules category types has issues, especially in that format.

I think a row like title is added on the bottom of schedule. Then, one can modify the row by adding rows using borders as we can add rows in the title row.

We use a pretty low-tech method inhouse.

All of our schedules are laid out to equal width for easier stacking on a page (10", 15", 20" based on schedule complexity)

As a result, all of our remarks are just Text Notes of equal width. Unfortunately this means the data isn't embedded in the equipment, but we haven't needed that level of detail thus far.

There's a way to use multiline parameters in conjunction with Grouping to construct a footer, but you have to apply the same multiline parameter to every element in the schedule or it breaks.

I am not saying for now to be done. But I can for sure tell you the schedule I sent is a very basic standard schedule that is applicable for all equipment schedule in the MEP firm. But I may be expecting to see it 2024 or the next one.

If this is a thread to vent or to request improvements, you're best off directing your energy towards the Revit Ideas forum instead. Autodesk developers rarely interact with the trade forums unless there are problems that affect the operability of the product on a large scale (like the recent schema issue).

If you post in the trade forums you're going to get people trying to offer solutions in the interim.
