Mechanical Background Processes Will Not Close

Can someone help me to cancel the background Duct Systems Calculations, it will not let me save my project. I have already set the mechanical calculations to 'None" in the properties bar and it did not work. I have also tried closing the project from the file tab but it will not close.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can try to turn it off in the Windows Task Manager process, find the RevitWorker then end this task.

Its very frustrating... Undo 100 actions didnt worked for me, I dont work with steel, just HVAC, piping, dict and mechanical equipment, some walls and floors just to give idea of spaces, but mainly HVAC; I was still able to work in the model with no problem, but cant save... it worked for me to make a copy of the file I was working on; without closing it and append "copy" to the end of the file; then open the copy and delete everything but the floor and grids; then in the file with the issue, a selected everything, then filtered anything not important such as dimensions or whatever is not important; then paste it aligned to current view on the copy model and voila! that copy can be saved...

of course after many hours of figuring out what to do... Hope this helps
