I have a question about chimney's level of detail / development - What level is required for projects. I mean is non detailed block of some material enough? or I need to detail my chimney with open channels, pipes inside and detailed external shape with all joints?
I think its better if you refer to BIM execution plan of your project to find the LOD level. But as a rule of thumb, if your design will not be used as shop-drawing or as-built and will be used in stages like design review, LOD300 would be enough.
