Local File not open and show "You do not have permission to edit the element."

hello,

iam working on a central file with my engineering team, its a Plumbing model and i supposed to be the only one who is using this file, i used to work thru work sets all ownership by me for each system and so on, one day i have received and error that central file not allowing me to open local file again and showing the attached message, so the only solution i figured out is to detach the file from central and save it again as a central file,

then before i closed i relinquish all elements and work-sets to avoid the same issue

but from time to time keeps showing up

anyone can assets me how to stop this,  maybe I'm doing something wrong with the workflow methodology while working on the local file

I don’t know the answer to your specific question but if you are the only person who needs access to the model then why bother using a central model? Why not just have it as a stand-alone model?

I'm sorry for explaining it wrong, nowadays I'm using the central Mechanical file by my self no any other users

and I'm using it central because I do prefer to work with work sets

so after im done modeling and sync, next day model gave me some elements that I have no permission to edit and load cancelled and the only solution is to detach and make the file central again

Welcome to the community!

I see from the image you are using an older Revit build, you need to install the latest update of Revit 2020.2.9. You can install via Autodesk Desktop App and Autodesk Account at manage.autodesk.com

There’s a workaround in which, when you are opening the model, you choose to not open any worksets. Then after its open you can open the worksets that you need.

I’m pretty sure this was resolved in later versions so as @sureshchotrani says applying updates might resolve the issue.
