Lighting color question

I have the attached rendering of a kitchen set to "Interior: Sun and Artificial".   The lighting emitted (I think light is emitted from the surface light on the ceiling, what do you think?) from the Light Fixture: Plain Surface Light Fixture that I loaded from the Lighting/MEP folder appears to be somewhat "yellowish" (do you agree?).

If I am correct that the light is yellowish, how can I make it more whitish like the one of the new "Daylight" Led lights?

Thanks in advance.

Check the colour temperature of the light.

Daylight would be 4000K or so.

Edit the lighting fixture family and change the color... it's probably 3,000k or so.  Change it to 4,000k and see if you like the results.

Normally we treat it more like a camera. You adjust the white point (white balance) in the exposure controls.

So you set the light's color temperatures as you would purchase them

So you render your view. Depending on the lights in the view it might become yellow/orange

Then adjust the camera (=exposure white point)

If you bring it close to the the color temperature of your lights then it becomes more like daylight.

If you go to higher values it becomes more yellow, if you go to lower values then it becomes more blue.

Just like with cameras if you have different lights with big variations in color temperatures you will have difficulty to get to neutral colors and parts of your image will become too red or too blue.
