Hi all,

I just wondering if there is some way to find duplicate elements at the same point and position.

I tried to do that via Dynamo but it only allow for familie components not for system family like ducts, walls, etc.

Thanks in advance.

I know that it possible in Manage tab and then in Warnings.

Hello @Sergio.Ramirez2

Did you try Interference check to find all the clashing elements?

if you suspect you have duplicates overlapping each other try selecting them (by window) and take account ofthe number listed in your properties.

another option is - create a schedule or use the system browser.

TAB select may help too.

Hi @Sergio.Ramirez2  it would be great if you share that Dynamo script,  which you have tried.

Thanks in advance: 🙂

Free Autodesk Addd-In BIM Interoperability Tools, Model Checker.

Great tool. Does a lot more checking and you can create your own checks if needed.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Will this work with fabrication parts? or does anyone have a tool that does?

Go to the 'Manage' tab, then select 'Warnings' under the 'Inquiry' Panel.

There should be the following warning:  "There are identical instances in the same place.  This will result in double counting in schedules."

Once you expand that message, you will see a list of all the places where this problem is occurring with them being labeled as 'Warning #'.

Then click on the 'Show' button to go to the particular instance where this is happening.
