How to delete/hide specific sub-header cells after grouping columns in a Schedule?

Hi Guys,
I am trying to clean up the headers in my Revit schedule.
I want to group columns 2 & 3 together, and columns 4 & 5 together under a new shared heading. However, I want to keep the "WAP No." header in the first column exactly as it is.
Once I group the columns, is it possible to completely delete or hide only the specific individual header cells ("Cat 6a Outlet ID") directly beneath the new group header, without turning off the entire header row? (See attached image).
Whenever I try, it seems Revit forces the lower grid row to stay. Is there a way to delete just those specific cells, or is a blank/resized row the only workaround?
Thanks in advance!

Grouping columns always adds a new header row; Revit cannot delete only selected cells from the field-header row. Keep “WAP No.” unchanged, then set the grouped fields’ Heading text to blank and adjust their borders for appearance. The lower row will still exist. Hope this helps. If it solves the issue, you’re welcome to mark it as a solution so others can find it more easily.
