How to delete a type of property from views

I have created a project parameter (Text) for Views called "View Category". I use this to sort my project browser, but now I have extra category selections that I am not using and would like to delete (200../300...). I have checked all the views to make sure that the ones I want to delete are not applied to any views. Is there any way to get rid of the unused categories besides deleting the whole parameter? Purging does not work.

You can select that type of view within Revit, right-click > select all instances of that type > Change them to a different type. Once that is done, you will be able to purge as the other user stated.

there are many ways to get rid of that. one way would be to create a schedule for views and add the view category parameter and delete the "200...." text for all the views. if you have that text filled for a view, it will appear in the dropdown. hope this helps.

Yes this is what I initially tried to do. I created a schedule for all my views, but when I added the view category parameter, there were no views with the "200../300.." in its view category parameter value. Is it possible there are some hidden views that I cant find in both the project browser and the view list schedule?

I have tried selecting all the views and changing the parameter to a single thing and purging unused. The parameter options were still there after the purge. And to clarify the issue is with a value for a project parameter I created for views. Not a view type

also make sure 200s value is deleted from all view templates that have the view category parameter checked. see attached

Thank you for the help. This was the problem. Deleting the view templates fixed the issue.
