How do I hide downlight housings in view?

Hi all... hoping someone can point me in the right direction.  I have set up an electrical Revit model and linked in the Arch model and copied/monitored lighting fixtures.  The issue I am having is with regard to the visibility of downlight housings appearing when I don't want them to.  If I turn off the linked arch ceilings the problem goes away.  This is not a viable solution as I obviously want to show the linked ceilings on my drawings.  I've only been using Revit for a couple years and this is a new issue for me... any help is greatly appreciated.  Please see screenshots.  Thanks!

What you are seeing is probably the hole in the ceiling, not the light fixture.

Thanks for the reply Rob... you are spot on.  Is there a way to resolve this or is it normal behavior?

I don't do ceilings.

If you have time to take a look at the attached screen shot from the arch model... I am curious why the down-lights in the arch model do not show the ceiling void, yet in my model they do.

Can you go to a 3D view and see if those squares are holes in ceilings or something else? If holes then there is nothing you can do except for asking the architect to use light fixtures without the square void or square opening. If they are something else then you can find out the category and turn it off.

That is entirely dependent on your type of view and the view settings. Too many variables.

Thanks for the reply... I ended up just using the linework tool and turning the void sections into invisible lines.
