I have already loaded all families of ducts, pipes and disposable connections, but even so they do not appear in my project, causing me not to be able to generate a pipe in my HVAC project. Could you help me to solve this problem?

the file you sent has not fittings in it..... there should be categories like the image below.

hmunsell_0-1681821622695.png

Your model only had Duct and Pipe categories... no Duct Fittings or Pipe Fittings.

hmunsell_1-1681821664763.png

when I load fittings using the Insert ribbon, Load Family tool the fittings show in the routing preferences.

I loaded families from my out of the box library (C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2021\Libraries...) folder.

Thank you very much, it's helping me a lot. Could you show me how to load connection families, preferred connection type, junction, crossarm, transition, union and cover. Show in the library which families I should load.

Which country/region are you using? There are different versions depending on locality.

Then you would normally load fittings families which are applicable for the type of pipe that you are using.

Eg. for UK steel pipe I would load families from the BS 143 malleable iron folder for threaded fittings or from the BS EN 10253 carbon steel folder for welded fittings

There may also be a region specific template available which already has routing preferences set up and you can use transfer project standards or copy/paste to bring those over to your project.

same method, just pick the folder hosting the content. I'm showing the English Imperial folder, but I'm sure there similar in other languages.

If you have the Brazilian content pack installed correctly then there should be default template files in this location:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2021\Templates

I don't know what the Brazilian package contains but the UK package contains a "Systems" template and a UK Pipe template so I would imagine that there are similar versions for Brazil (although surprisingly the US package contains much less than the UK versions).

Download and install.

And now I wonder what you meant when you were insisting you had loaded everything in the project.

It turns out that I had loaded all the options available in the Portuguese library. The problem is that in the library in Portuguese you don't have the options that you have in the English library. I loaded all the Portuguese options, as I didn't know about the other options available only in other languages.

@fabiosato- is this true? What is the procedure in Brazil for project/template setup?

IF YOU CAN, DOWNLOAD THE LIBRARY IN PORTUGUESE AND YOU CAN COMPARE THAT IN THE PORTUGUESE LIBRARY THERE ARE LESS FAMILY OPTIONS. HERE TO MODEL A PROJECT WE USUALLY DOWNLOADS OF TEMPLATES THAT HAVE BEEN READY AND CONFIGURED.

Hello,

Each template is different; you may find some templates from manufacturers in the country, like Tigre and Amanco.

Loading the fittings is not enough; you have to create the segment types, and pipe types and then set the fittings.

Thanks @fabiosato, we'd already explained all of that to @lucaswillianmds but I was querying their comment that the Brazilian library doesn't contain any pipe or duct fittings? I find that hard to believe, although the download size does appear to be significantly smaller than the UK or US libraries. I noticed that there is also a Brazilian "international" library which seems to be similar size to the UK and US versions - what is in that, or alternatively how should @lucaswillianmds source Autodesk families which are relevant to Brazilian practice?

Hello @iainsavage ,

The brands I mentioned are Brazilian suppliers that created their Revit templates and made them available to the market for free.

This is an easier way than modifying the template supplied OOTB by Autodesk.
