EnergyPlus simulation did not generate a report for systems analysis.

Dear , 

 

while exporting heating and cooling load calculations this error occurs "Energy Plus simulation did not generate a report for systems analysis." please suggest how to solve this issue.

It depends on which version of the software you are using and which processor is in your PC.

There was a problem with several processor types not working with the energy plus version shipped with Revit.

This has, I believe, been corrected in 2024 but for older versions there is a workaround which involves downloading and installing a different version of EnergyPlus/OpenStudio.

Thank u for reply . i am using Revit 2023 ver.

my pc processor is :  Intel(R) Xeon(R) W-2223 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz

OpenStudio SDK ver. 3.7

That processor comes up as "Formerly Cascade Lake" which is not one of the processor types listed as being problematic. Sounds like the same problem though.

As a test I would try a test model with one space, one system with an electric heater, no cooling i.e. simplest model/system that you can get and then see if it produces results.

 

As for the OpenStudio version the relevant one is the one in the C:\Program Files\NREL\OpenStudio CLI  for Revit 2023 folder and if you are trying the workaround to update this you have to follow the procedure to copy and overwrite the relevant files/folders from the C:\openstudio-3.x.x folder into the OpenStudio CLI  for Revit 2023 folder as detailed in the link that I sent you.
