Bonnet Disc of B&G Circuit Setter Model CB-3F not showing when loaded in Revit

Hi,

I'd like to ask for help with repairing the RFA file I downloaded from the B&G website. When I load the RFA file and select model CB-3F from the catalogue in Revit, the bonnet disc does not appear. However, when I load CB-4F and other sizes, the bonnet disc shows up. I have attached the RFA file and a text file for reference.

Its visibility is controlled by the "Angled Stem" parameter which is off for that Type. When I tried to turn it on I got a "Constraints are not satisfied" error.

That comment was based on settings in the family but when I try to load it into a project I get more errors.

Thank you for your response. I hope someone can fix the error. I sent an email to B&G regarding the error in their RFA file, but I haven't received yet a response from them.

Daft question but do they actually make the 3F valve with the angled stem configuration?

And what does the straight stem option look like - with that option ticked there doesn't appear to be any stem/bonnet visible.

Great question. Recently, I've come across a number of families that fail at certain sizes. At first I thought the family was broken but the failure is actually designed into the families. Manufacturers' content continues to get better and more user friendly.

I think you're correct. Thank you! I modified the RFA and included the circuit setter and the plug for 2-1/2" and 3".

The better made families usually "fail" in a designed-in manner to indicate that the selected option is not commercially available such as these Geberit fittings which default to excessive dimensions and include a warning symbol, IsCustom parameter and warning message if the bend angle is not 90 degrees or the difference in size between the two ends of the reducer is too great etc. I like that method rather than just having the family not work at all.
