Emergency Light refuses to pass data to schedule

I have the OTB emergency wall light that I have added a couple shared parameters to and added a Wattage parameter as well, this parameter refuses to work properly. When brought into the project the schedule does not allow me to adjust the number, and any number I put in this field from the type editor is not carried across.

What is going on here?

Edit the family and map the properties of the electrical connector to the relevant parameter. The panel schedule reads info from the connector, the family parameters have to be mapped to the connector properties to enable editing info within a project.

I guess I may not understand what you're saying here. I have the connector parameters associated already and it's still not working. Apparent Load does not carry across to my Light Fixture Schedule "Wattage" column and if I add an electrical Wattage parameter to the family it still does not carry across. I have a lot of other light families which this works fine but this one just simply refuses to work properly. Rather frustrating...

It works just fine in my dummy test project. You can't edit the load in the panel schedule, only in the family properties.

I'm not using the panel scheduling in Revit, I'm not touching that hot mess at this point. I just need a light schedule that has some basic info one of them being the Wattage column. This still is not working properly and it's using the built-in parameters. I guess I'll just have to type text and lay it on top of the schedule to fake it since Revit is a stubborn SOB. Dealing with Revit often is like dealing with crotchety old folks at a retirement home.

I just tested this again in a blank new project and it does not pass the wattage info correctly. If you make a new Light Fixture schedule and add the Wattage parameter you will likely see that you can't change the data and the cell is blank.

Panel scheduling in Revit is bloody awesome.  If you're not using it you should be.

I can get the Lamp Wattage parameter in a fixture schedule, no idea why you can't.

Did you try creating a Light Fixture Schedule with a Wattage column? That's what I can't get to work properly.

The parameter in your family is "Lamp Wattage." If your schedule is using simply "Wattage" you need to edit the family, modify the parameter "Lamp Wattage" and replace it with "Wattage."

Make sure the Wattage parameter you use is the same one the schedule uses. For some reason Revit allows multiple parameters with identical names to exist in a single project.

Alright I switched that parameter out (replaced with Wattage parameter) and it yields no results, I'm still left with a blank schedule entry for the one fixture. I give up since I've wasted too much time on this. I'll just type some text and lay it on top of this lone blank cell. Thanks for the ideas, it was certainly worth a shot!

That's bizarre. The family works perfectly in my project, for both panel and quantity scheduling.
