Duct Tagging issues

When is Revit going to fix duct tagging? I tag things & then go back & the tags move, WHY? I have ried pinning them & even that does not help. Is there a work around for this?

They don't move on their own. Something has to be changing for this to happen. For example, if you are changing the elevation, they will change their relative position to the duct.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Thanks but that is exactly what I am talking about. Why! Once something is tagged the tags should not move, even if your duct changes size. As a contractor we have fabricated duct where someone looked at a bottom of duct tag & then found out the tag was wrong after.

Probably just my Monday !@#$ session.

If you're just complaining, I guess there's nothing I can say to help.

This behavior is not new. Be aware of it and be prepared to move the tag after changing the elevation.

Tags also move when moving an element but keep their relative position.

The whole point of using tags is that they are “living” objects which update automatically when model elements change/move. I think they’re brilliant and wish I’d had something similar in Autocad for the past 30 years.
If you want a static “tag” maybe it would be better to just use text?

Thank you for chiming in, I know we have come a long way but was just saying it can be frustrating. Probably the wrong site to do it.

I wasn't "chiming in", I was trying to assist with solving your issue.
